Design, Personal Solo Project
Summary
This was a personal project with concept art for some posters for IKEA. They include an abstract version of a Swedish word that doesn’t have a one-to-one translation to English. The word is then typed out underneath with a short description of it. The idea of making these posters came from a doodling session where I combined the letters of random words into one connected image. I’d seen similar things being done on Tiktok and wanted to try it for myself.
I wanted the design to be very simple so they could potentially fit in a lot of homes regardless of their prior decoration style but especially fit with the most common IKEA-furniture (such as the Billy bookcase and Kallax shelves).
